Understanding Rights and Obligations under USERRA

This training program provides general information and updates related to matters under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). This program has been designed for human resources professionals who are responsible for leaves of absence, employee benefits, or uniformed services matters. Course content includes:

  • Understanding veteran protections and the basics of coverage
  • Meeting employer obligations with reemployment
  • Accommodating veterans with disabilities under the broad USERRA definition 
  • Understanding benefits implications including pension participation, vesting and accrual
