Audit Response

Employers face a growing number of government agency compliance audits. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) audits federal contractors, and employers may face audits by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Wage and Hour, OSHA and other government agencies. WorkPlace HR is experienced in assisting employers in preparing for and effectively responding to government agency audits. Information regarding government agency investigations can be found under “Discrimination Complaints.”

OFCCP Audits: Our experience indicates a much more successful result in OFCCP audits when contractors develop their strategic approach as early in the OFCCP Compliance Review as possible. Compliance Reviews are the initial stage of a legal proceeding that can result in enforcement sanctions, and information presented to the OFCCP should be thoroughly analyzed prior to submission. Depending on the initial results, the audit can be expanded by the OFCCP to include on-site visits and additional investigations.

WorkPlace HR can help you by providing the following OFCCP audit services:

Wage-Hour Audits: WorkPlace HR provides Wage-Hour audit preparation by assisting our clients in compiling the factual information and records that the Department of Labor requires for submission and enabling the client to put their best foot forward to demonstrate compliance.

DHS Audits: WorkPlace HR also provides audit preparation and support for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) audits, including pre-audits of I-9 document records, process reviews and on-site audit support.

Other Audits: WorkPlace HR works closely with Fortney & Scott, LLC to provide guidance and audit preparation services for FMLA, Sarbanes-Oxley, OSHA and other government audit matters that include self-governance and internal assessment programs.
